'Pharoah Phan Phestival' offering all American Pharoah, all the time

With the arrival of American Pharoah at Monmouth Park, the "Pharoah Phan Phestival" has kicked into high gear. The celebration features numerous giveaways and a few appearances by the Triple Crown champion before culminating in the bay colt’s run in the Haskell Invitational (G1) at the New Jersey shoreside track on August 2.
American Pharoah arrived Wednesday and was bedded down in trainer Kelly Breen’s barn.
Just as the colt as arriving in New Jersey, Monmouth Park officials announced an increase in the purse money for the Haskell, bumping it from $1 million to $1.75 million.
The Monmouth Park Clubhouse will be open 7-8 a.m. (EDT), free of charge, on July 31-August 1 for fans to watch American Pharoah and the other Haskell hopefuls on track. American Pharoah is also scheduled to school in the paddock on July 31 with horses in that day’s 1ST race.

- "Phriday" happy hour at the Lady's Secret Cafe
- Joes vs. Jocks Mini-Golf "Phestival" at Blue Grass Mini Golf (all proceeds benefiting the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund)
- Lilly Pulitzer fashion show
- Ladies hat contest
- Haskell hat giveaway
- Best-dressed couple contest
- Best-dressed Americah Pharoah costume contest
- T-shirt cannons
Gates open at 9 a.m. on Haskell Day and first post is 11:30 a.m. Grandstand admission is $6 and Clubhouse admission is $9. Veterans or current military in uniform and children under the age of 12 will be admitted free.
General parking costs $20 and valet parking is $40. New Jersey Transit will be making multiple stops at the Monmouth Park station throughout Haskell Day.
The race will be televised live by NBC from 5-6 p.m.
