Pick 4 of the Week: Oaklawn Park Saturday

A pair of stakes races, led by the lucrative, $1.25 million Oaklawn H. (G2), will be a part of the Pick 4 of the Week from Oaklawn Park on Saturday.
Race 9 Wager
- 50-cent Pick 4: 2,7,12 with 3,4 with 2,3,4,5,7 with 7,8,11 ($45)
Race 9 – Maiden Special Weight
A full field of 12 Arkansas-bred males will jaunt six panels in the tricky opening leg. Chris Hartman’s #2 Tizmarkus (5-2) is the top pick. Tamarkuz colt has improved with each run to date and will be tough with another forward move.
I’m not sure if the mud or the addition of blinkers helped move #7 Personal Jet (6-1) forward, but I have to have the son of Higher Power on my ticket, nonetheless. He took a big step forward in his latest venture. #12 Hicko (8-5) closed to be a nice fourth against stakes foes at first asking and is very logical second time out for trainer Ron Moquett.
Race 10 – Valley of the Vapors S.
A total of eight sophomore fillies will run one mile in leg two, and I feel that the event will come down to two contenders. Kenny McPeek’s #3 Anonima (7-2) and morning-line choice #4 Quantum Burst (2-1) are the duo that make the most sense to me in the affair.
Disarm returns to the races and gets back in the winner's circle as a 5YO in R9 at Oaklawn Park! 🤩@keithasm7 was up for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Race 11 – Oaklawn H. (G2)
The 1 1/8-mile feature attracted a very good field of eight. I feel compelled to use a handful of the contenders in the especially deep field. #2 Disarm (10-1), #3 First Mission (2-1), #4 Skippylongstocking (5-2), #5 Alexander Helios (4-1), and #7 Banishing (7-2), are the ones that will make the ticket to advance me to the final piece.
Race 12 – Allowance
The six-furlong heat for Arkansas-bred boys will have a cast of 12 going postward in the finale. #8 Gettinby (8-1) possesses a big closing kick in a field with an abundance of pace, and the bay son of Petrov has excellent value, as well. The move to Luis Saez is a positive, too.
Kenny McPeek’s unbeaten #7 Zippy Mark (5-2) and Moquett’s speedy #11 Strato (15-1), who will make his second run off the shelf, will make the ticket to conclude the play.
