Picks for Group 1 racing at Rosehill Gardens in Australia
Group 1 racing continues Down Under tonight, with the Coolmore Classic headlining a fantastic card at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney.
Horseplayers can watch all the action from Rosehill via the TwinSpires app or TwinSpires.com, and also take advantage of the fantastic TwinSpires Aussie Bet Back Banker promotion, where you can get 5% back as a bonus on all win wagers.
The action from Rosehill is enhanced with additional Aussie cards from Newcastle, Gosford, and the Gold Coast, and TwinSpires will also feature racing from Trentham in New Zealand.
Here are a couple plays to hopefully help you build a bank!
Rosehill, Race 7: #18 Vangelic
This is the big race of the night, the Coolmore Classic (G1) over 7 1/2 furlongs. Fifteen mares and three fillies will do battle, and Vangelic is one of those fillies.
Last time out, she hit the front for half a stride before the favorite for this contest, Forbidden Love, overhauled and sprinted away for a three-length victory in the Surround Stakes (G1).
FORBIDDEN LOVE races clear with the Surround Stakes.

The main difference this time is that Vangelic will meet Forbidden Love nearly 10 pounds better at the weights. Forbidden Love had a much easier run tucked away on the fence last time, too, while Vangelic did a bit of work out wide.
Vangelic is drawn well, and considering she is double-figure odds, she represents terrific value. It’s a wide open race, so if you like something, you should get a good price!
Rosehill, Race 9: #6 Starspangled Rodeo
Last time out, this son of Irish sire Teofilo wired the field over seven furlongs. He'll return to the same track against similar opposition, and I expect history to repeat.

There doesn’t appear to be a lot of speed signed on, so Starspangled Rodeo should be able to get a soft lead and control the tempo. Jockey Josh Parr sticks, and the pair should be able to get the job done again.
Good luck!
