G1 Bing Crosby for 3yo&up going 6f
All races on the Polytrack Sunday including the feature, the Grade 1 Bing Crosby and what a race it is. The field is led by a pair of Grade 1 winners, GOLDENCENTS and DECLASSIFY. GOLDENCENTS is coming off a good second place finish to Palace Malice in the Grade 1 Met Mile in early June and finished second to the late Points Offthebench in last year's Bing Crosby. DECLASSIFY won the Grade 1 Triple Bend at Santa Anita by a nose in his last and is making his Del Mar debut. In June 2013 he won a race over the Cushion track at Hollywood Park and has been working at Del Mar since mid July so he should handle the surface switch. The problem with the top two is pace as there looks like it will be a heated opening quarter mile. SEEKING THE SHERIF has won four straight, all gate to wire, and BIG MACHER was only a neck off a 44 and 1 opening quarter in his last. KOBE'S BACK perhaps deserves one last bet at this class level. He is a late-running and two of his best career races have come over a synthetic surface. Seven furlongs would be better, but he can still make it interesting late at six.
