TASTE LIKE CANDY makes her return to the races after a sixth place finish in a small stakes race at Santa Anita in February. Prior to that she had run in three straight graded stakes, including seconds in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez and Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet. She looks to have been working well in the mornings over the surface and only must overcome the layoff to win. SWEET MARINI is another coming off a layoff, but she had not run since August 2013 when she was third in the Grade 3 Redondo Beach Handicap over this track. The winner that day was Reneesgotzip so there was no disgrace in finishing third. SWEET MARINI has made two starts at Del Mar with one win and one third. Look for her to try and control the pace early. SWEET PROFIT looks like a good long shot to wager on, making her second start off a layoff and second start this meet. She was a non-threatening third as the favorite three weeks ago and has come back with a good five furlong drill and can win from just off the pace. One to throw in any trifecta or superfecta bet is CLASSY AVA from the Peter Eurton barn. CLASSY AVA ran fourth in a similar race at Santa Anita in June and should improve. Eurton has only won twice with 22 starters this meet, but has been in the money 11 times.
