Starter allowance runners go to the turf for the next race and there should be a decent pace early for class dropper TIGAH to get the job done. Now, this will be his fifth start at the meet already, but trainer Barry Abrams always brings them ready. PRESS BARON and HOG'S HOLLOW are the trip horses, both will sit just off the pace and can get first run down the stretch.
Race nine is the feature, the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante and any of the two-year-old fillies are worth a bet at value odds. Top pick; however, will be SUNSET GLOW, winner of the Grade 2 Sorrento three weeks ago. She beat males in her second career start then ran a winning race to finish second at Royal Ascot in June. STARLET O'HARA and HER EMMYNENCY are the late threats. CONQUEST ECLIPSE has been working well in the mornings for her first start since an impressive debut at Churchill in June.
