Player Quick Pick: Santa Anita for 6/20/14

June 20th, 2014

Santa Anita 7 | 9:00 pm ET Non-Winners of Two Claimer for 3&Up going 1-1/16 mi

Friday's card at Santa Anita is filled with good betting races, including race seven, a two turn claiming race. On paper, this race has meltdown written all over it. There are at least three horses that will go for the lead and that will be perfect for INDYGO ANDY, who is returning to dirt after three failed turf tries. His previous three starts were all on dirt, all around two turns and all resulted in an in-the-money finish. Off the pace and into the winner's circle. WARREN'S CAPER is another late runner and he had a perfect prep race over the surface a month ago, a race in which the winner has come back to win again. The three pace players are GOYAN, MERINGUE PIE and FLEW FLICKER and all three can make the front end. MERINGUE PIE puts the blinkers on; her trainer Bill Spawr hits at 38% with that move. TENKILLER KID could sit the trip just off the speed and get first run into the lane. The Notional gelding is; however, winless in eight starts at Santa Anita with only two seconds.
