Race One:

1st: #1 STRANGE ARRANGE – speedball breaking from the rail is very tough when he shakes loose early. He won here against better then moved up in class off the claim by Nelson Figueroa and won again. Last out he missed by a length and drops in class.

2nd: #3 CHEROKEE CHATTER – was a game winner two starts back when she went gate to wire to win by over four lengths. She tired last out when moved up in class and now drops down in class while taking on males.

3rd: #2 ECHO ALPHA SIX – should be able to work out a stalking trip with Alberto Burgos.

 

Race Two:

1st: #7 MOLISE – was badly outrun in her first three career starts on dirt and turf. She shipped here and rallied from off the pace to miss by a length as the 5-2 favorite and now drops in class for Mike Trombetta, who wins 27% of first starts after being beaten as the favorite.

2nd: #2 DAYLIGHTS AWASTIN – did little here last year in her career debut at long odds. She returned off a long layoff and improved on the turf at Mountaineer Park then tired at Delaware Park on the turf again. She gets Lasix and Pablo Morales.

3rd: #3 TUNED UP – stretches back out to two turns and picks up Rocco Bowen, a 16% winner with his route rides.

 

Race Three:

1st: #1 CAPTURED BY FATE – tries Tapeta after showing good speed on the dirt at Mountaineer Park. He won two in a row there going gate to wire then just missed by a head last out as the odds-on favorite after opening up a clear lead in the stretch.

2nd: #4 NOTACATBUTACARD – was an even fourth against open allowance foes two starts back here going six furlongs then was fourth again going two turns. Son of Discreet Cat drops down to bottom-level claimers and gets Antonio Gallardo.

3rd: #6 PERFETTO – should be fit from a turf race and a muddy track race at Mountaineer Park his last two starts.

 

Race Four:

1st: #2 STRAIGHT TIME – ran well in his first sprint on Tapeta at Gulfstream Park when carried wide then shipped here and was a good second. He lost all chance last out in a turf sprint at Laurel when he broke slow from post one.

2nd: #3 DARK N DANGEROUS – first-time starter from Louis Ruberto, who wins 11% with his debut starters and 12% sprinting. Son of Dark Kestrel (16% debut winners) is out of a winning dam that has produced two winners from two foals to race.

3rd: #4 CROWLEY’S WAR – turned back to a sprint here last out and rallied for second and gets Avery Whisman back aboard.

 

Race Five:

1st: #1 HAPPY BEE – was an even third three starts back here going a two-turn mile in fast time then came back and ran a similar third. She dropped some in class last out and went gate to wire to win by five lengths for Mike Pappada, a 26% winner in first starts after a win.  

2nd: #2 SILVIA – ran well here last year then returned off a 10-month layoff and won going away when blinkers were added for the first time. She came back and beat allowance foes and now stretches out to two turns for Tom Van Berg.

3rd: #4 MAKE NO MISTAKE (scratched) – was a sharp winner three starts back here when stretched out to a mile then ran third.

 

Race Six:

1st: #1 CHRISTMAS DIAMOND – won two straight races on the turf at Golden Gate to begin this year. She shipped here and was a good second going two turns for Teresa Connelly, who wins 26% with her allowance runners. Pablo Morales returns from the rail.

2nd: #3 LOVELY EVER AFTER (scratched) – was a game second in her Tapeta debut then broke her maiden by over four lengths at this distance in fast time. She just missed against state-bred company last out for Tim Girten, who wins 29% after being beaten as the favorite.

3rd: #8 CASCADE PARK – chased a slow pace two starts back but ran much better as the odds-on favorite last out in fast time.

 

Race Seven:

1st: #4 WHERE YOU WAS – beat state-bred allowance foes last October going six furlongs in fast time. He returned this year and raced evenly against open company and drops back down to state-bred company for Ronald Rogers.

2nd: #5 VALENTINE BUG – returned off a long layoff here and beat similar company going two turns then was an even third in fast time. He came back to miss by a neck last out when he chased the pace from post one.   

3rd: #6 RIO ABAJO – horse for the course missed by a length two starts back then raced wide last out against this level.

 

Race Eight:

1st: #4 ANOTHERMANICMONDAY – broke her maiden here two starts back when dropped down in class then came back against this level and was an even fourth in her first start off the claim by Mike Pappada. Rocco Bowen picks up the ride.

2nd: #2 SHOMETHESISTERS – runs consistently well without winning against better. This year, she did nothing in her first two starts but woke up last out and missed by a neck in a long sprint for Randy Russell, who wins 27% with Alberto Burgos.

3rd: #10 DONTLOSETHATNUMBER – should be the one to catch from the outside with Scott Spieth.
