Dick Powell offers his selections and analysis for Tuesday's card at Presque Isle Downs.

Race One:

1st: (5) QUEEN WIGGY – horse for the course dropped down to this claiming level and went gate to wire by over three lengths. She came back and led to the final furlong and tries the same group again. Pablo Morales is 24% riding for Tim Girten.

2nd: (3) QUEEN OF CHILL – after winning twice on the Tapeta at Turfway Park, she came here and beat $25K claimers. She moved up in company in her last two and now drops down in class for Tim Girten.

3rd: (1) TRIPLE R RATED – speedball breaking from the rail drops down in class and adds blinkers.

Race Two:

1st: (2) SHORESY – did nothing in her first two career starts while turf sprinting. She shipped here and was an even third and tries them again for Phil Schoenthal, who wins 16% going short to long and 15% going long for the first time.

2nd: (4) WAIT FOR TOMORROW – tries Tapeta after two decent efforts in a pair of turf routes at Colonial Downs. Mike Trombetta wins 21% with this surface change and 15% with his overall maiden special weight starters.

3rd: (1) GOLDEN EXPRESS – was a good second on the dirt going five furlongs then was beaten at odds-on last out.

Race Three:

1st: (3) VALIANT VICTORIA – put it all together in her fourth career start when she went gate to wire to win by seven lengths. She came back with a close second against similar and should be tough to catch with Gary Wales — 29% riding for John Fennessy.

2nd: (2) SUMMER’S GIFT – romped by over seven lengths in her career debut on the dirt at Parx. Off for 115 days, she tries Tapeta for Erin McClellan, who wins 19% first start after a maiden win and 17% off long layoffs.

3rd: (1) DETERMINED CHARM – ran well in her two lone starts here, and recent turf races should have her fit.

Race Four:

1st: (2) CASH IN A FLASH – held well in a turf sprint at Penn National then came here and went gate to wire by over four lengths. Gelded son of Uncle Mo drops down to the bottom for Ed Rojas, who wins 32% first start after a win and 33% with Martina Rojas.

2nd: (8) JARETH – horse for the course has won 10 times here and was second seven times. Claimed two starts back, the gelded son of Hard Spun came right back and won going away for Gerry Brooks, who wins 19% with his overall claimers.

3rd: (9) HENRY’S WORLD – speedball breaking from the outside could tighten things up going into the turn.

Race Five:

1st: (7) WOODCHUCK – won a long sprint three starts back here then held well for second when stretched out to two turns. He returned back to 5 1/2 furlongs and was a close second for Mike Rogers, who wins 16% with his overall claimers.

2nd: (4) TWIRLING MAMBA – beat this claiming level two starts back going this distance by a nose then was a game second last out. Bill Martin wins 16% with his overall claimers and 18% with Huber Villa-Gomez.

3rd: (6) SOGNO DI CAMPIONE – son of Into Mischief raced evenly in two starts here.

Race Six:

1st: (5) LA PANDA – dropped down to $12.5K three starts back and missed by a length. She came back in the same group and raced evenly, then was a fast second when moved up to open allowance company. Now, she drops down to $6,250.

2nd: (7) WINDY CITY GIRL – rallied some for third two starts back going six furlongs then came back in a new barn and missed by a head. She moves up in class and stretches out in distance with Martina Rojas in the irons.

3rd: (3) FORBIDDEN DREAM – ships in from Gulfstream Park off a good second two starts back on the Tapeta there.

Race Seven:

1st: (6) BRUMBA WAFFLE TOES – one-dimensional closer came from way back to miss by two lengths despite a rough trip, then he won going nine furlongs in very fast time. He moves up a bit in class, but anything close to his last effort can work here.

2nd: (2) EXTRASEXYBIGDADDEE – horse for the course was a good second two starts back as the 4-5 favorite, then his late rally fell a nose short at even money. Son of Congrats draws inside with Antonio Gallardo — 18% with his route mounts.
