Hialeah Park, located in South Florida near Miami, has often been referred to as “The World’s Most Beautiful Race Course". The track, now over 80 years old, boasts 200 acres of landscaping and historic architecture; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and its home for onsite flamingos is a recognized Audubon Bird Sanctuary. The track is also beloved among racing fans as the setting of the movie Let It Ride. Multiple Triple Crown winners and Champion horses have raced at Hialeah throughout the years, including Seabiscuit, War Admiral, Citation, Bold Ruler, Northern Dancer, John Henry, and Seattle Slew.
Though Thoroughbred racing ended at Hialeah in 2001, the track reopened for Quarter Horse racing in 2009, and continues to run a popular all-Quarter Horse meet each winter.
