Multiple stakes winner Daytona B runs Sunday in the $150,000 Sam Abbey Memorial Invitational Championship at Hialeah Park

The 2016 Quarter Horse meet at Hialeah Park will wrap up on Monday, February 29. The South Florida racetrack will present six stakes on the final Sunday card of the season, which begins at 12:35 (ET).

It figures to be an epic day for trainer Judd Kearl, who has a host of contenders entered on Sunday. Ec Jet One, a convincing winner of the $200,000 Hialeah Derby on January 17, is the 2-1 morning line favorite in the $204,265 South Florida Quarter Horse Derby. He will meet nine other qualifiers in the 440 yard final, most notably, Favored Fire, Genovese, Satcha Wagoneer, and Carters Sixty Six.

The 10 horses entered in the $150,000 Sam Abbey Memorial Invitational Championship at Hialeah Park know their way to the winner’s circle no matter the track. 2015 AQHA Bank of America Challenge Championship winner Daytona B, whose three-stakes win streak came to an end with a third-place finish in the Sawgrass Stakes earlier in the month. He could easily rebound, but faces a tough field including Hialeah Maturity champion Moonin the Eagle, Sawgrass Stakes winner Habits Secret, Signature Stakes victor Ill Stop The World, and City of Hialeah Stakes winner Fly Thru the Fire.

Kearl and Vallejo team up with the favorite, Eyesa Shoofly Dandy in the 1,000-yard, $40,000 Sailfish Stakes, which is the first feature on the card. They also combine with Corona Leaving You in the $30,000 Miami-Dade County Stakes. Llano Cartel heads a field of 10 sprinters in the $35,000 Beautiful Prairie Stakes. Stick Shift SC goes for his sixth win in a row in the 300-yard, $30,000 Lucky Loser Stakes.
