Southland 2015 Spring Futurity Stakes - Round 2

The highlight of the Southland card on Wednesday, April 15 is the running of the 2nd round of the 2015 $20,000 SPRING FUTURITY Stakes. There are 6 races of this stakes competition on the program and the action should be fast and furious as the greyhounds battle paw to paw for the right to move on to the next round. As you may remember, last week before the competition started, I made my selections as to who I thought would make the finals and each of the 8 greyhounds I picked for the finals all finished in the money. I have them listed below in the races they are running in and what box they are starting from as well as their last result. Please check back as I will be updating the results and previewing the coming rounds as this highly competitive stakes racing continues. Race 7 - ELLIE - starting from the 3 box - finished 2nd last time

Race 10 - SOVEREIGN ISLAND - starting from the 7 box - finished 2nd last time

Race 10 - FLYING FIRED UP - starting from the 8 box - won by 1 1/2 lengths last time

Race 13 - JASPER OF RUCKUS - starting from the 4 box - finished 2nd last time

Race 13 - KL'S NO REGRETS - starting from the 7 box - finished 3rd last time

Race 17 - JJ'S TANGO - starting from the 1 box - won by 1/2 length last time
