Five Up and Coming Greyhounds
Welcome to another Southland monthly preview of the Five Up & Coming Young Greyhounds To Watch at Southland and August's selections certainly look like they will give a solid showing in the coming weeks and months as their young careers have already gotten of to a very good start. The only requirement that I use in selecting the 5 up and coming young greyhounds to watch each month is that they have no more then 10 official starts prior to being selected. Please check back as every two months or so I will give updates on the progress of our choices. Good luck to everyone and thanks for reading.
BRASKA TREVOR - 8 starts - 2-1-2-1 - running Grade C now - A mid-track style runner with an impressive rush to the turn, he's shown to give a good effort on a regular basis so worth keeping an eye on as he moves up in grade. Next race - Saturday matinee, July 18 in race 6 starting from the 2 box - Grade C
DECO CANNON FIRE - 5 starts - 2-2-0-0 - running Grade C now - This young pup has shown a ton of early speed to go along with an inside running style and has already moved up to Grade C. The future looks bright for him and he bears watching in the coming months as he continues his movement up in class. Next race - Friday evening, July 17 in race 15 starting from the 6 box - Grade C
DJAYS MUY BUENO - 4 starts - 1-1-2-0 - running Grade D now - Here is a young greyhound who is officially 4 out of 4 in the money and on a side note, if you include her 3 schooling races she's finished 3rd or better all 7 times. Good early speed with a nice rush and has shown to be very competitive in each outing up to this point. Next race - Friday evening, July 17 in race 13 starting from the 2 box - Grade D
VESTED - 6 starts - 3-0-2-1 - running Grade B now - Talk about impressive young greyhounds, he's raced 6 official times and has 6 top four finishes including 3 wins which has moved him up to B grade already. A huge rush to the turn for this inside running pup should have him contending in most all of his races. Certainly one to watch in the near future.

Moneymaker Mike's Five Up & Coming Young Greyhounds to watch for.
BLACK BETTY - 3 starts - 2-1-0-0 - running in Grade C now - She's got a big rush to the turn and a lot of staying power once she gets the lead. She looks to have a mid-track running preference and with 2 wins and a 2nd place finish in 3 races, definitely a threat to quickly keep moving up in grade. Next race - Saturday matinee, July 18 in race 13 starting from the 2 box - Grade CBRASKA TREVOR - 8 starts - 2-1-2-1 - running Grade C now - A mid-track style runner with an impressive rush to the turn, he's shown to give a good effort on a regular basis so worth keeping an eye on as he moves up in grade.
