SOUTHLAND Preview - June 14
Sunday's matinee card at SOUTHLAND features 3 races in which several greyhounds will be trying hard to keep their winning streaks going as they battle paw to paw from start to finish. Several of you have asked for some different angles to look at during the month of June so MONEYMAKER MIKE will showcase some of the greyhounds who are on winning streaks of two or more. Race 7 - Grade B -583 yard course - Starting from the 8 box is XK THISONES FORU who is going for her 3rd straight win. She won her last two races from the one box and now has a solid shot to continue her winning streak by drawing the outside post which goes well with her mid to wide running style and good early speed.
Race 11 - Grade AA - 583 yard course - In the 7 box is SUPER C RIDDICK who is also going for 3 wins in a row and as consistent as he has been, he's definitely a threat to do so. He has a big strong rush to the turn and once he gets the lead, he's very tough to catch. Add in his mid to wide running style and you have a greyhound who is very capable of adding another win to his impressive young career stats.
Race 17 - Grade A - 660 yard course - From the 3 box we have NITRO BRUNO MARS who will try and make it 3 in row over the distance course. He has an inside running style with a decent rush to the turn and a very strong closing move. This hard running greyhound has gone from Grade D to Grade A in just 22 days since arriving here from the Naples track and is 6 for 6 in top four finishes so far at Southland.
