August's 5 & Upcoming Young Greyhounds To Watch
Welcome to another Southland recap of the Five Up & Coming Young Greyhounds To Watch at Southland. These 5 greyhounds were my picks for August that I made in July and listed below are how they have done since being selected as a greyhound to watch. The only requirement that I use in selecting the 5 up and coming young greyhounds to watch each month is that they have no more then 10 official starts prior to being selected. September's selections will be made in the next few weeks so check back then for more information. Also don't forget that BETAMERICA is your best bet available for your wagering opportunities. BLACK BETTY - 3 starts - 2-1-0-0 - as of today she now has 10 starts - 3-2-0-0 and is now running in Grade C - She's got a big rush to the turn and a lot of staying power once she gets the lead. She has a mid - track running style and is continuing to gain experience and certainly bears watching in the coming months.
BRASKA TREVOR - 8 starts - 2-1-2-1 - as of today he now has 16 starts - 4-1-4-2 and is now running in Grade A - A mid-track style runner with an impressive rush to the turn, he's shown to give a good effort on a regular basis so worth keeping an eye on as he moves up in grade.
DECO CANNON FIRE - 5 starts - 2-2-0-0 - as of today he now has 14 starts - 5-3-0-1 and is now running in Grade AA - This young pup has shown tons of ability and talent already in his very young career and with his huge rush to the turn along with an inside running style, this combination should have him contending in most all of his races. A definite solid Southland greyhound to be following at this time and certainly in the future.
DJAYS MUY BUENA - 4 starts - 1-1-2-0 - as of today she now has 11 starts - 2-1-3-1 and is now running in Grade D - Here is a young greyhound who started out 4 out of 4 in the money and has shown to be a hard runner who gives 110% each time out and despite encountering trouble as of late, she's still worth giving a shot.
VESTED - 6 starts - 3-0-2-1 - as of today he now has 13 starts - 4-2-3-1 and is now running in Grade A. Talk about impressive young greyhounds, he's raced 9 official times and has 8 top four finishes including 4 wins which has moved already helped him move up to Grade A. A huge rush to the turn for this inside running pup should have him contending in most all of his races. Worth watching each time he runs in my opinion.
Since I chose these 5 up & coming young greyhounds in the middle of July, they have had a total of 38 races between them and in those races have accumulated 8 wins, 4 seconds, 4 thirds and 3 fourth place finishes. It pays to keep an eye on these monthly greyhounds and hopefully they can put some extra cash in our pockets with some solid finishes.
