Tabbing longshots in Saturday turf stakes at Gulfstream

A pair of $100,000 stakes races on the grass highlight the Saturday card at Gulfstream Park. Both of the black-type events boast competitive fields with value contenders, and I am siding with a longshot in each event.
Race 9 - Martha Washington S.
A well-matched cast of 3-year-old fillies will travel one mile on the green. The major pace players in the field are light on class, leading me to believe that the winner will rally from off of the early tempo.
I will take a shot with #5 R Calli Kim (10-1) for Georgina Baxter. Revolutionary filly is 2-for-2 lifetime, and while she has toppled two lesser fields to date, the bay looked the part in her going-away tally on the course most recently. Kentucky-bred has the tactical speed to be in range early and get the jump on the late runners turning for home. Samy Camacho picks up the mount.
Wagers:
- $10 WPS: #5 R Calli Kim ($30)
Race 11 - Not Surprising S.
Nine were entered in a one-mile test on the weeds in what appears to be a good betting event. And the pace of this race will be very swift, setting things up for a deep closer.
Maiden #1 Lookintogetlucky (20-1) has failed to hit the board from a trio of lifetime tries to date, but I love the aggressive placement for the Candy Ride filly and will take a shot with her versus the boys.
Trained by Patrick Biancone, the bay earned healthy Brisnet Late Pace numbers (98, 94) in her first two tries on the course, prior to failing to fire in her latest offering and going on the shelf. Kentucky-bred comes in fresh with a pair of nice morning moves, and she will save ground throughout from the rail beneath Luca Panici.
Wagers:
- $2 Exacta: 1 with all ($16)
- $2 Exacta: all with 1 ($16)
