Tampa Bay Downs features a pair of $100,000 stakes races on Saturday’s card. The first is the seven-furlong FTBOA City of Ocala Florida Sire S. for fillies and mares in Race 6, and it is followed by the seven-furlong FTBOA Marion County Florida Sire S. for colts and geldings in Race 9.

Below we provide spot plays for both races, as well as two $16,000 claimers on turf, and build a Late Pick 3 ticket covering Races 8 through 10.

Race 6: FTBOA City of Ocala Florida Sire S., seven furlongs, fillies and mares

#5 R Adios Jersey (7-5) was the beaten favorite in her last two starts, setting the pace but fading in the stretch in both the 6 1/2-furlong Musical Romance S. and a seven-furlong handicap at Gulfstream Park. The Indian Charlie granddaughter will look to bounce back in her return to Tampa Bay Downs, where she’s 2-for-2, in her first start in six months and third career start for Gerald Bennett, a 28% winner with beaten favorites. Antonio Gallardo will hop in the saddle and wins at a 20% rate with pacesetter types. R Adios Jersey is also 4-2-1-0 at today’s distance with a top Brisnet Speed figure of 96.

Race 8: $16K claiming race, one mile on turf, three-year-olds and up

#10 Artemus Bridge (4-1) will make his first start for trainer Steve Klesaris while dropping in class after finishing a length back in fourth in a 20K starter optional claimer at Laurel Park run at 1 1/16 miles on turf on Nov. 14. The Verrazano six-year-old has never run at Tampa Bay Downs but is 2-for-3 at today’s distance and has a chance to contend from an outside post in this field of 10.

Race 9: FTBOA Marion County Florida Sire S., seven furlongs, colts and geldings

#6 Willy Boi (1-1) was last seen in the six-furlong Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Keeneland, where he finished 10th by 15 lengths after he turned his head at the start, chased the pace early, and faded down the lane. The four-year-old gelding will stretch back out to seven furlongs here after racing at six in his last three, and he’ll keep regular rider Chantal Sutherland, who is 3-2-0-1 this meet. Trainer Jorge Delgado is also a 29% winner at Tampa Bay Downs and a 20% winner in non-graded stakes. Willy Boi owns a 2-1-1-0 record at today’s distance and has a win and a second in two tries at Tampa Bay Downs.

Race 10: $16K claiming race, one mile on turf, three-year-olds and up

Morning line favorite #6 Bird’s Eye View (3-1) moves up in class after winning a $12,500 claimer at Meadowlands by a head and will make his first start in two months. We’ll look to beat the vulnerable favorite with longshot #8 South Sea (8-1), who switches from dirt to turf after sprinting six furlongs in his last two since joining the barn of Darien Rodriguez, a 20% winner with horses transitioning to grass. South Sea has a second and a third in four starts at today’s distance, with a career-best 89 Brisnet Speed figure at a mile. He also posted a sharp four-furlong workout ahead of this event and will switch to jockey Antonio Gallardo, a 16% winner on turf. We'll also throw in #2 Big Red Rocks.

  • $2 Pick 3 wager (Races 8, 9, 10): 5, 10 with 6 with 2, 8 ($8)
