The win gave trainer Mike Maker his sixth win in the Jeff Ruby, though it remains to be seen whether Field Pass will aim for the Derby, since he is not nominated to the Triple Crown.

The blazing half-mile fraction posted by Nadal in the Rebel. Hounded by rivals from start to finish, the son of Blame successfully stretched his speed over 1 1/16 miles and led all the way to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:44.97.
