Holy Bull Stakes Contenders

#1 HADES: Unbeaten charge from the Joe Orseno shedrow dusted state-bred allowance foes in his latest run on the oval and will stretch out for the initial time from the rail. The gelded son of Awesome Slew came home fast going seven panels most recently and is in with a top-three chance with further improvement under Paco Lopez.

#2 INVEIGLED: Enticed gelding was a close fourth in Mucho Macho Man S. most recently and could get a piece with a forward move beneath Irad. This Jane Cibelli trainee looked the part in a dominant allowance score on the oval two back, and the dark bay will be forwardly placed from the break on this occasion.

#3 OTELLO: Clement trainee is 2-for-2 to kickstart his career and comes off of a game late run in winning the Mucho Macho Man S. last time out. The chestnut son of Curlin is bred to be a very good one, and he has looked the part leading up to his graded bow on Saturday. The Kentucky bred retains the services of Luis Saez.

#4 DANCING GROOM: Antonio Sano pupil capped his juvenile campaign with a pair of unplaced tries in the graded stakes ranks. The chestnut son of Vino Rosso will be equipped with blinkers for the initial time, but he will need a big step forward to challenge this cast late with Junior Alvarado in the stirrups.

[SCRATCHED] #5 NO MORE TIME: Talented colt was very impressive in breaking his maiden on the surface two back, which preceded a fifth-place run in the Mucho Macho Man for trainer Jose D’Angelo. The dark bay son of Not This Time shows two solid morning moves in advance of his second run off the short layoff, and I expect him to be in range late with Jose Ortiz taking the reins.

#6 DOMESTIC PRODUCT: Practical Joke colt will have the blinkers removed for his three-year-old debut for trainer Chad Brown. The Klaravich homebred dark bay colt impressed when traveling nine furlongs at Aqueduct in his second lifetime outing, and something resembling that performance will have him in contention for a minor share late beneath Tyler Gaffalione

#7 FIERCENESS: Champion colt decimated a fine field in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) last time out for conditioner Todd Pletcher. The sophomore son of City of Light has been awesome in two of his three career races to date, and the colt has reportedly been training in excellent fashion in preparation for his sophomore debut, as well. The bay has good early speed and will be forcing the tempo early on with John Velazquez on board.

#8 SEA STREAK: New Jersey-bred has never run a bad one and exits a close third-place result in the Mucho Macho Man S. This Eddie Owens pupil gets a tough draw on the outside, but if the son of Sea Wizard receives a sensible voyage, then he can be in the hunt for an exotics piece inside the final furlong with Luca Panici riding.
