The Top Ten Greyhounds of 2015

July 14th, 2015

What a fantastic season wrapped up last month at Palm Beach!  With records going down and many of the best greyhounds in the country running here, there were many memorable races that we saw in the last 12 months.  Out of the thousands of races that happened here this season, I have narrowed it down to the very best of the best with this Top 10 list.  Enjoy!

*The racing season ran from July 1st, 2014 - June 30th, 2015*

#1 -  Storm Control Winning The $50,000 He's My Man Classic

January 17th, 2015

~One of the top sprint titles in the country to win, #5 Storm Control takes a close one against Hustle It Up in a blistering 29.52 secs.  One week after this race, Storm was a runner-up in the Daytona 550 National Championship.

#2 -  Ethel Is Here Breaks the 660 Yard Course Record

November 4th, 2014

~We knew that Ethel was a monster on the 3/8ths Mile, but this was a stunning run to say the least.  Out of all the greyhounds that have ever run at Palm Beach in the last 83 years, no one was faster then this day, as she bolts a 37.28 secs record breaking victory.

#3 -  Storm Control Winning The $50,000 St. Patrick's Day Invitational

March 14th, 2015

~In what turned out to be Storm's last Stakes race, he went out and dominated this field in 29.49 secs.  Storm would retire just a few weeks after he won this. Look for Storm to be an All-American after his performances during this season.
