Race 2

Eight runners line up for this Oklahoma-bred maiden special weight event over 5 1/2 furlongs.

#4 D C HERO (8-1) has not been seen since showing some early run before fading to finish a well-beaten fourth in his debut at Remington in October in which effort he earned top ranking on Brisnet Early Pace Last Race. Son of speedy sire Silver City is out of a stakes-winning mare who earned over $240K and who has produced four winners. Gelding showed his readiness with a sharp 4-furlong bullet work in 47 1/5 here early this month and will be ridden by Adrian Ramos, who has been winning with a solid 18% of his rides in sprints. As the first runner saddled by Scott Garrison should help provide some value and four-year-old can be in good position throughout.

Race 4

Low-level maiden claimer attracts 10 entrants, several of whom have had many chances to win.

#6 Fast One is likely the favorite and one to beat but first-time starter #3 TWIST BACK CREEK (12-1) may be one to provide some value. Trainer Hale has won with just 6% of his runners since the beginning of last year but won with one of his last eight debutants. Gray has a decent win early pedigree being by 10% debut sire Cinnamon Creek and out of a mare by Prized who's offspring also win 10% of their first outings. Colt turned in a solid four-furlong work in 49 2/5 from the gate here two weeks ago and appears worth a look at decent odds.

Race 6

Early speed is key over this 5 1/2-furlong distance here with 44% of winners from last 66 races winning in gate-to-wire fashion.

#3 KEENE'S DESIRE (10-1) makes her first start for trainer Gladd off a fading unplaced effort at Oaklawn facing better over 6 furlongs last month after being involved early while earning top ranking on Brisnet Early Pace Last Race. Chestnut makes her third start after a long layoff and Gladd wins with 22% of his runner first time for his barn. Four-old-year figures to be sent early and the one to catch under rider Pusac, whose ROI shows a profit in his last 577 rides in sprint events.
