The Sunday card at Aqueduct is highlighted by a non-jackpot carryover worth $27,406 in the $1 Pick 6.
Let’s take a race-by-race look at the sequence and assemble a ticket using two horses in each leg, for a total cost of $64:
Race 4: $25,000 Claiming (six furlongs), 2:45 p.m. ET
The class-dropping duo of #7 Timaeus (9-5) and #4 The Monopoly Man (5-2) bring strong Brisnet Speed ratings to the table. One or the other should prevail while tackling easier company.
Race 5: $50,000 Claiming (6 1/2 furlongs)
#2 What’s Up Bro (9-5) is dropping in class after competing in four straight allowances at Aqueduct. Facing easier foes in his second start back from a layoff can help What’s Up Bro shine for hot trainer Linda Rice. But #4 Spun and Won (5-2) has run faster on the Brisnet Speed rating scale and likewise has a strong shot at victory.

Race 6: $40,000 Claiming (seven furlongs)
Many of the entrants in this sprint for fillies and mares are climbing the class ladder. #4 She’s Cool (7-2) and #2 Beira (3-1) appear to have the strongest win chances after running 2-3 in a recent $25,000 claimer at Aqueduct.
Race 7: $20,000 Maiden Claiming (6 1/2 furlongs)
#2 Melancia (2-1), fourth in a $40,000 maiden claimer over this track and distance last month, is a deserving favorite. But #8 My Daughters’ Gift (15-1) is an intriguing longshot while dropping in class off a fourth in a $30,000 maiden claimer and an eighth in a maiden special weight.
Race 8: $62,500 Allowance Optional Claiming (6 1/2 furlongs)
The Grade 1-placed #4 High Oak (3-1) and the stakes-placed #5 Just Beat the Odds (7-2) are coming off long layoffs, but their trainers win at high percentages with horses returning from breaks of 90 days or more. We’ll count on one or the other to win his comeback.
Race 9: $25,000 Claiming (one mile)
#8 Montebello (5-2) is the horse to beat after wiring a seven-furlong sprint over this track and class level with a sharp 88 Brisnet Speed rating. But #9 Amedeus Music (3-1) is fast enough to challenge on his best day.
Pick 6 wager
- $1 Pick 6: 4,7 with 2,4 with 2,4 with 2,8 with 4,5 with 8,9 ($64)
Good luck!
