How to bet the 2024 Park Avenue at Aqueduct

April 12th, 2024

A total of eight sophomore fillies bred in the Empire State will go 6 1/2 furlongs on the Aqueduct dirt in Sunday’s $200,000 New York Stallion S. (Park Avenue Division). The trio of horses drawn outside in the affair appear to be best, and I will center my plays around them.

Park Avenue Race Analysis:

#2 Bustin Time is the inside speed of the field and will be sent from the break. Fifth in the East View S. most recently, the chestnut is quick but has not proven to be capable of staying the trip in her last three. Hanging on for a share late is not impossible, though.

She will be pressed with intent from the opening bell by #6 Sohana, and the Brad Cox trainee will be the one to run down turning for home under Manny Franco. The $200,000 daughter of Solomini will have no excuses after receiving an expected perfect trip.

A trio of runners will take up the chase in the second flight, including recent stakes heroine #7 My Shea D Lady for conditioner Carlos David. Also by Solomini, the dark bay is far from the most consistent horse in training, and her decreasing Brisnet Speed figures are a concern, but she made light work of a big field in her juvenile finale and has seemingly trained well in the interim.

#8 Sunday Girl was forwardly placed in her dominant debut tally and will likely be in a similar spot in the early going on Sunday under Katie Davis. The David Duggan pupil did nearly everything right in her Feb. 10 unveiling, and if the daughter of Central Banker shows improvement, then she can topple the group for sure.

#4 Fast and Frisky also has shown improved speed this season in a pair of outings going one mile, and I envision her to be in striking distance at the top of the lane under Jose Lezcano. The Jorge Abreu trainee rates as an exotics piece while making her third run off the bench, and I’ll use her in the lower rungs of the gimmicks.
