Howbeit is a good fit for Tuesday’s field and looks ready to outrun his 9-2 morning-line odds in his first start for hot trainer Justin Evans. A win bet is in order.

One Time Mark exits a third-place finish in a $25,000 claimer racing one mile over the Santa Anita turf course. Two starts back he ran fourth in a $50,000 starter optional claimer over the same course and distance. Those efforts yielded sharp Brisnet Speed ratings of 80 and 85.

#12 Aloha Kitten (5-2) tired after dueling for the lead in a recent $6,250 claimer racing one mile over the Turf Paradise turf course, finishing fifth by three lengths. But she’d previously cracked the trifecta in a pair of $4,000 claimers sprinting on dirt at Turf Paradise, earning sharp Brisnet Speed ratings of 71 and 75.

Dropping back down to the $4,000 level for a five-furlong dirt dash should allow Aloha Kitten to take home top honors. We’ll single her to conclude our double wager and bet her to win for good measure.
