Turf Paradise: Race 6: $8,500 Claiming (five furlongs on dirt, 6:23 p.m. ET)

#6 F B I Bob (5-2) has been facing tougher competition. Two of his last three starts have come in stakes. In between, he finished third in a six-furlong handicap at Turf Paradise against next-out stakes winner Time to Fly.

That effort yielded a 76 Brisnet Speed rating, one of the highest numbers in Tuesday’s field. Dropping into an $8,500 claimer should make F B I Bob formidable, so let’s single him to start a double wager.

Loveaboveandbeyond has been running in routes as of late, but she kicked off her win streak with an eight-length demolition of a 6 1/2-furlong $4,000 claimer at Turf Paradise, so we know she can sprint too. Let’s single her to conclude our double wager, then start a new double bet as well.

#8 Expect Love (4-1) has only started once on turf, finishing seventh in a six-furlong maiden special weight for California-breds at Santa Anita. She may find the competition a bit easier at Turf Paradise, opening the door for an improved showing.

Let’s single Expect Love to wrap up our double wager, then bet her over #4 Flattermeincourt (2-1) and #9 Inxpress (7-2) in an exacta. The latter two fillies were separated by a nose when finishing second and third in a 7 1/2-furlong turf race over this course and class level on Jan. 6.
