On Sept. 5, the 146th Kentucky Derby will crown a champion at Churchill Downs.
Traditionally run the first Saturday in May, this year’s Derby will go down as the first in history to occur in the fall and follow the Belmont Stakes.
Barclay Tagg-trained Tiz the Law claimed the New York-based event back in June and will head in as a favorite under the Twin Spires. He’ll compete alongside Authentic, guided by five-time Derby winner Bob Baffert, and a slew of strapping Thoroughbreds eager to cross the finish line first.
The 2020 Derby field is full of surprises and intriguing storylines, which makes it all the more difficult to pick a winner.
