When does Gulfstream Park West open?

• Wednesday through Sunday, 1pm ET

After the track was leased to Gulfstream Park in 2014 following large renovations around the track, the name of Calder Racetrack changed to Gulfstream Park West. The 15 barn facility hosts racing between Gulfstream Park meets. The fall meet tends to begin in October following the summer meet conclusion and runs five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday.

2019 saw several stakes races. The 3YO events of the Showing Up Stakes and Cellars Shiraz Stakes both hold purses valued at $75k. Additionally there are several races associated with the Sunshine Millions Stakes.

Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta, Superfecta, Daily Double, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, and Super High 5 wagers will be available on every card. The popular Rainbow Six Jackpot wager will be available on all race days EXCEPT on special Monday programs (October 20, 27 and November 3, 17); on those Monday cards Gulfstream West will offer a Ten Cent minimum Pick 10 wager.
